Detailed

Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Camera Wiring Harness
Driver-assistance systems read the road through cameras and radar, and every
one of those sensors connects back to the ECU through a harness. This category
covers the wiring for forward cameras, surround-view cameras and radar modules:
shielded coaxial runs for the video and data signals, sealed connectors where
the harness passes through body panels, and protection against heat, abrasion
and moisture along the route.

Typical builds combine miniature coaxial cable for high-speed camera links
with twisted signal pairs for radar and power wires sized to the sensor load.
Connector options include Mate-AX-Compatible and FAKRA-Compatible coaxial
interfaces, sealed housings for exterior mounting points, and corrugated tube
or braided sleeve protection for engine-bay and chassis sections. Lengths,
branch layouts and connector combinations follow the vehicle drawing.

Coaxial sections are stripped in stages to keep the shield intact, terminals
are crimped to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 2 with cross-section checks on first
articles, and every finished harness passes a full continuity and electrical
test, including shield continuity, before it is packed.

Camera harnesses in this category are often ordered together with automotive
sensor cables (E2) for the same vehicle program, and with LVDS display cables
(C7) where the camera feed runs to an in-cabin display.
